My Mentors Are A Must

In my last post I shared with you a little about having great mentors and I mentioned two of the ones I have and would not have stayed in this business if I had not met them. I need to make sure you understand that I also have other great mentors as well.

Choosing a mentor needs to be something that you don’t just jump at the first ones that come along. When I first started in this business I did not really have a mentor. I did have a great upline in the business I first started with that helped me to learn to work and promote my business for that particular opportunity and believe me I am very greatful for that.

However, I did not know the correct way of starting my own business, especially an online business. Thank God I was introduced to some amazing people that truly cared about my success. There are those out there that really just want to make sure that you succeed to make them money because you are in their downline and there ARE those that truly just care about you succeeding for yourself, no matter what business you are in.

I have had both. I have been taught that you really have to be choosy about your mentors just as you have to be choosy about what you decide to focus on for your business. Making sure that your mentors are successful in what they are doing themselves is an absolute must. You need to be sure you can trust what they are teaching you as well as what their purpose for teaching you is.

Two of the greatest mentors I have are Robert and Robin Blakely. I met them through a mutual friend and was actually introduced to them for the purpose of a product or a line of products they stand behind. This particular company that I was interested in is Xooma. Both Robert and Robin have extensive experience with their products and have helped me to understand what they are for and how they will help me.

Now after meeting them for this purpose, I was totally amazed at how much they were both concerned not only about my health but also about my success in my online business. It wasn’t if I was going to join them, but the ones I was already in. I was in total shock. Most people do not work that way. I knew I had found someone I could trust.

I need to make sure you understand this just wasn’t from the first couple of times I talked to them but after a couple of months talking with them and not ordering anything from them. Robert was helping me so much with learning how to advertise and get my business going. He was teaching me his techniques and not ever asking anything except to know I was trying.

Robin was really concerned with my health as it was not the best in the world and was teaching me the things that I could do without buying anything. Can you imagine people zi did not even know at all so concerned about me, my health and my business. That is a true mentor. That is caring mentors. That is the kind of mentors you need to be looking for.

Oh, Susuie, you are so right. I would definitely be lost without my mentors and my networking family. Thank you for being a part of that.

Thank you Lynn. If it had not been for you I would have quit a very long time ago. Thank you for all that you have shared with me and taught me as well. It is truly amazing what we can learn from each other if we just listen and follow.

Thank you so much Brian and Felicia. It is a pleasure to give others credit including the two of you. Just reading your posts and ideas has truly taught me as well. It is truly a blessing to be in the “Family”(Family Networker) with you both.

  4. Such a nice post Tammie! It’s nice to see others that are giving credit to those who helped them instead of complaining or bashing their upline. It’s also extremely impressive that there are mentors out there that really know how to help others with no agenda except to see others succeed! Wishing you much success and great health!

What a beautiful post Tammie, and I am so thrilled for you! It has been a pleasure for me to watch you blossom over the past couple of years… I remember when you were a newbie and so unsure of yourself. You have had some real life challenges as well, but you have proven with God as your strength to be more than a conqueror, and you are mentoring others more than you realize in Forever His!

I couldn’t agree more. If we all decided to do our own thing without mentors we be heading endlessly in the wilderness. Its wonderful that we can find mentors that will stand side by side with us as we grow.

    Thanks for sharing

  7. You are so right Tammie – and you now people do come in your life for a reason – sometimes you don’t know why at the time but believe me I know God has sent them as guardian angels – I feel very blessed to have them in my life.

I agree Robert, we did not meet by chance. I am PROUD to know both of you as Family as well. You bring out the positive in me and I thank you for that.

  10. Wow what a tremendous homage girl. I am flattered. Listen, things don’t happen by chance. The fact that we came into each others lives is not a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. It just tough sometimes to figure out why or what the cause and effect is. I just have to say we are proud to call you family. Anyone who is positive and loves to help others the way you do, is always alright in my book. Its when we give of ourselves that we get things in return! Stay blessed my friend and thanks again for your support..
